Multiple‐award winner, driven and action-oriented entrepreneur with over 10 years of business development and infrastructure project experience. Mary is the General Manager of McDonald Patafta Group’s Lao PDR office. She leads the overall project management and operations for our clients in Laos.
Mary has worked on many large-scale Lao PDR operations and held directorships in major Lao PDR enterprises in mining, logistics, and construction entities.
Mary was previously the Trade commissioner responsible for promoting, advancing and strengthening Canadian trade and investment interests in Lao PDR.
Mary specialises in the clean tech and infrastructure (smart-cities) sectors and works closely with international financial institutions (ADB and the World Bank) in Lao PDR. Mary has also acted as a national consultant to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce Lao PDR, providing consultancy services on the Service Trade and Investment Portal (STIP) for the Foreign Trade Policy Department.
Mary holds dual Bachelor degrees in Business Administration and Literature from the National University of Laos, and a Master of Science in Management of Innovation from Goldsmith, University of London, United Kingdom.
